Four sculptures commissioned for the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. It is a real honour to make work for such a prestigious setting. The Waldorf has had one of the most expensive refurbishments in the world & I’m thrilled to have my work installed there.
The new forms have a black terra-sigillata clay slip applied. For this project I tested different tones of finish. What I wanted to achieve was a finish like a dark bronze patina. From my experience these have come out extremely well. The testing was thorough and meticulous which was why
